In this review, I’ve deliberately used the word ‘online’ here because The Palaces is actually a chain of bingo halls that has venues in Great Yarmouth, London and Felixstowe.

The Palaces Bingo is one of those sites that has been around for a few years but has kept itself largely under the radar. This is probably due to it not having an affiliate scheme, which means review sites (including this one) won’t make any money by promoting it.

It was actually the first site to open with the Pragmatic Play bingo software, and so the bingo games are using the very latest, award-winning bingo software. Palaces also have a few standalone bingo rooms and the promotions are known to be generous, so I recommend trying them out.

Patrick The Bingo King

The reason I believe this site is different to the rest is probably the result of one man, Patrick Duffy. He’s the MD and owner of The Palaces and he appears to take a real hands-on role in both the retail and online business.

When you sign up to The Palaces online, you get a welcome email directly from Patrick, in which he says thanks for joining and provides both his personal email address and phone number, to contact him if there are any problems.

I also encountered Patrick in the bingo chat rooms on more than one occasion, plus he has been known to do live zoom calls during the lockdowns with players. I’ve taken part in a few of these zoom calls and they’re great. They usually take place during the evening’s Session Bingo (8 pm- check site for latest schedule) and in between the bingo games he does little games, such as Play Your Cards Right with the players who have joined the zoom call.

I even managed to make it all the way to the end of Play Your Cards Right once and Patrick credited me with a £5 bingo bonus.

How To Deposit

The Palaces has a large deposit button on the homepage. If you’re on mobile this is right in the middle of the page near the top. On desktop, it’s over on the left with the other links.

When you first go to deposit it will ask you to set some deposit limits. You can set daily, weekly and monthly limits, as well as loss limits. All sorts of responsible gambling tools are there on this screen, and it is good that they place them here and kind of force you to use them.

If you’re not sure what settings to use, you can choose to do it later by clicking on the first button at the top.

If it is your first deposit it will ask you to put in debit card details. Click on the VISA / Debit Card logo and then select Proceed. Once you’ve done that, you will set the amount you wish to deposit. There are quick amounts from £10 – £100 but you can also put in a custom amount. Do this then select Proceed.

At the next step, it will ask you to choose a bonus. Pick from whatever options are there. You can skip the bonus if you don’t want it, but my advice is to check the Terms & Conditions first, as it is meant to be a no wagering site so you should get decent terms on the bonuses.

Click on ‘add bonus and deposit’ or ‘skip bonus and deposit’ (depending on your preference). Enter your card details on the next screen (if its a redeposit press use stored card), then follow the instructions to make your payment.

How To Withdraw

If you’ve had some luck and won enough money that you want to withdraw some, you can do so very easily.

You can open up your wallet by either clicking ‘Wallet’ from the main menu, or clicking on the big deposit button. Both will open up the wallet on the deposit screen, but from there you can select the tab for Withdraw.
